Knoebel's
We visited Knoebel's amusement park today, and it was awesome. It's an old park that they've kept in very good shape. I think Coney Island must have been like this long ago. Lots of fun rides, cotton candy, remarkably good food, and E learned to wave hello. V's face is priceless when she's on a ride. Total joy. M went on a real roller coaster with Nathan. Lovely time for all.

live from Grammie and Grandpa Bond's house
Hi! No pictures today, since I'm not planning to upload them on G & GB's computer. I'm currently hanging out in the office since V can't be trusted to actually go to sleep without someone nearby. We've had quite a few wow-I-can't-believe-she-did-that moments with Miss V this trip. It was a good day when we arrived at the brand new Sonic without my wallet (the grandparents were planning to pay anyway, and tater tots are just as greasy and lovely here as in Texas). We arrived home from Sonic and I asked the kids to help me look for the wallet. V said, "I know where it is!" and was so proud to find it for me. As if we didn't know who put it there. Other adventures include smashing a PF goldfish cracker under the presser foot of Grammie's sewing machine, blocking Grandpa Bond's tuba mouthpiece with play dough and emptying the contents of Grammie's purse (the peppermints were eaten, the cough drop was left, slightly sticky).
The other kids are quite busy also -- E's creeping and getting close to crawling and sitting up consistently. She definitely can hold herself up, but tips over sometimes still. Her favorite place to creep to is wherever the big kids are. Beware. M is reading a lot and loves the library. He's also doing a lot of Star Wars stuff. Legos, books, even got to watch the first movie. It's been a long time since I've seen a grin that big -- he was ecstatic to be sitting with his dad during the opening credits, listening to the music. "It has the real Han Solo? And the real Chewbacca?" He was actually bouncing a little bit on the couch out of excitement. Good times.
